Surprise, surprise! Fall Out Boy has announced that their song Irresistible from its American Beauty/American Psycho album has been remixed with vocals from Demi Lovato and will be released on Friday.

Irresistible always felt like it could become something else, something exciting, strange, beyond,” the band’s bassist, Pete Wentz, posted on his blog. “I think Demi Lovato has one of the most powerful voices today. So we worked through an afternoon and she just got it.”

Furthermore, with the band promoting American Beauty/American Psycho, they have also announced a 20-stop tour entitled “Wintour is Coming” which will begin in San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 25 and close in Irvine, California on March 26. They will be touring with fellow bands Awolnation and PVRIS.

Previously, Fall Out Boy toured with Wiz Khalifa, Hoodie Allen, and MAX on “The Boys of Zummer Tour.”

Fall Out Boy was recently nominated for an American Music Award under the Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock category.

Prior to American Beauty/American Psycho, the band published Save Rock and Roll, their fifth studio album and first release since taking a break at the end of 2009. The band refrained from referring to the hiatus as a “breakup,” stating that they “never broke up” in the first place.

“When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music,” they wrote on their website. “It’s why we started Fall Out Boy in the first place. This isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.”

American Beauty/American Psycho debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 album chart. It sold 218,000 equivalent copies in its first week and became the band’s third No. 1 album.
