Chase has published new mortgage rates on Friday, October 3 that have edged higher. The benchmark 30-year fixed mortgage is published at 4.125% with an APR of 4.209%, unchanged from yesterday. The rate for a 15-year fixed loan has gone up to 3.375% with an APR of 3.520%.
Buyers can lock into a 5/1 adjustable rate mortgage with a rate of 3.250% for the first five years with an APR of 3.074%. A 7/1 ARM is also quoted higher today at 3.375% for the first seven years with an APR of 3.185%.
Refinance rates have also been updated today. The best rate on a 30-year fixed refinance is 4.250% with an APR of 4.324%. A shorter-term 15-year refinance carries an interest rate of 3.375% today with an APR of 3.575% for well-qualified borrowers.
Chase allows homeowners to refinance into an adjustable rate mortgage as well. The best rate on an ARM refinance today is 3.250% for a 5/1 ARM with an APR of 3.094%. A 7/1 ARM has an interest rate as low as 3.500% for the first seven years with an APR of 3.234%.
