Tiger Woods Jealous Of Lionel Messi – Here’s The Hilarious Reason Why!

Tiger Woods would have love for his kids to follow his legendary footsteps playing golf but his kids would rather pursue other sport, soccer. Asked about if they want to be a golfer like their father, 8-year old daughter Sam and 6-year old son Charlie said that they wanted to be Lionel Messi instead, since they love soccer as reported in USA Today.

This sounds to be another setback for Woods, who is having a rough year. He broke up with Lindsey Vonn last May. Last June during a round at the Memorial, he shot a career-worst 85. As if his year isn’t bad enough, he has his third back surgery in the span of 18 months last October. And then his kids chose Messi over him.

The children were asked if they want to be Messi, who played for FC Barcelona and played on the pitch, or their father who played in a golf course, and both of them chose Messi. Charlie even added an extra dig saying “ He’s playing”, referring to Messi while his father is sidelined with injury. Woods couldn’t agree more, saying, “Well, he is right”, then reportedly bursted in laughter.

Woods will be turning 40 on Wednesday and no timetable was set for his return. He still envisions himself “playing golf at the highest level and winning tournaments and major championships”, in his column posted on his website.

Woods bursted into the golf scene in 1997, when his legend started. As a soon-to-be 40 golfer coming from a surgery, his age doesn’t reflect all the battles he have won during his decorated career. His fierce competitiveness on the golf course earned him the best golfer status for over a decade. At 40, he is not yet ready to call it a career, whether his children chose Messi over him.
