French police are on the hunt for Salah Abdeslam, 26, and have released his photo to the public in an effort to track him down. The Brussels-born man is believed to be on the run after being named a key suspect for being involved in the terrorist activity that tragically struck Paris just a couple of days ago.

Salah Abdeslam was reportedly stopped by authorities at the Belgium border during the Paris attacks’ aftermath on Saturday, just hours after the attacks, but he, along with the two other men in the car with him, was then let go as there was no proof to link him to the attacks and no evidence to charge him with anything at the time.

Police have warned the public that he is to be considered armed and dangerous and that he should absolutely not be approached by people.

Later, it was discovered that the rented VW Polo that Abdeslam was driving that night had been seen at the Bataclan venue, one of the bombing sites. He has since been determined to be the logistics coordinator for the attackers. Salah Abdeslam’s two brothers, Ibrahim and Mohammed Abdeslam, were also involved in terrorist activity during the Paris Attacks.

Another vehicle that has now been linked to the attackers, a black Seat which was also rented by one of the Abdeslam brothers, was found abandoned four miles east of Paris in the suburb of Montreuil. There were three Kalashnikov assault rifles discovered inside the abandoned vehicle.

Both vehicles were registered with Belgium plates and Brussels police are now investigating links from the Paris attacks to an infamous hotbed of radicalism in the Belgian capital.

Salah is the only one of the three Abdeslam brothers who is still at large as Mohammed was later arrested and is currently in police custody, while Ibrahim was one of the suicide bombers and had blown himself up outside a bar near the Bataclan.
