Sounds promising, right? Organic, chemical-free, or natural products have been mainly preferred because of their non-damaging effects to the user and have been advocated by many celebrities who vouch for their efficacious wonders. Here is one product that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge apparently attests to. Could this really be her secret?
What it organic Botox?
According to Smart Beauty Guide, Biotulin, which is also called “organic Botox” is a product that produces the same results as the neurotoxin that targets wrinkles and fine lines. So does it work?
Biotulin includes a type of herbal local anesthetic, Spilanthol. It is derived from the plant Acmella oleracea, which goes by the scientific name Paracress, explains Dr. Mark Jewell. Botox. Now, as to whether Biotulin’s active ingredient (spilanthol) could have any effect on the skin, Dr. Jewell points adds that “this has not been characterized from a scientific perspective.”
Dr. Jewell also noted that Biotulin is a cosmeceutical and there is very few known about its benefits other than the claims made on their web site. “There is no peer-reviewed scientific evidence to substantiate claims,” he cautions. This item is too new to be validated by clinical studies and tests.
Organic Botox: even Michelle Obama is using it.
Regardless of not having concrete medical validation, the product has gained quite a following. Aside from the Kardashians and Kate Middleton, Mail Online reports that Michelle Obama (supposedly recommended by the Duchess of Cambridge) has been using the miracle product.
The product promises to lessen muscle contractions and relax facial features around the eyes and between the eyebrows. This assures the reduction fine lines and make the skin noticeably smoother. Also the product has skin-plumping Hyaluronic acid to restore fullness to the face. Biotulin claims to provide visible results in 60 minutes that last up to 24 hours.
The first lady’s make-up artist revealed that the 52-year-old has been using the product, possibly because like Kate Middleton, she does not prefer a complicated skin regime.
