New HTC One AnTuTu benchmark results leaked

Although just 20 days remain for the official unveiling of the new HTC One, several images and benchmark results have leaked online giving away the specs of the device. The benchmark result is actually pretty interesting as it says HTC One beats last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

An image showing the AnTuTu benchmarking results on the new HTC One leaked earlier today. It shows that the upcoming HTC flagship beats Samsung Galaxy S3 by a considerable margin. If the image is true, then it’s a great achievement as Galaxy Note 3 is known as one of the fastest devices in the market.

The new HTC One is expected to come with a faster 2.3 GHz SnapDragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM. It will probably feature two storage variants namely 32GB and 64GB and will come with a Micro SD card slot. It is also said that it would feature the rumored dual camera lens along with twin LED flash and run on the latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat version with the new Sense 6 UI on top. Unlike earlier Sense versions, this may be slightly lighter which may have helped One gain edge over Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3.

Several rumors also suggest that the phone would come in three new colors namely Silver, Grey and Gold. It would also have the same metallic finish as the original one. According to the picture leaked, it would be rounder and a bit bigger too; however the overall design looks quite similar to the original model. This is actually not that surprising as HTC One’s best feature was without doubt its design.

A video which was leaked recently showed off some of the software features too, and some notable changes include new onscreen buttons and changes in Blinkfeed. Instead of the traditional capacitive buttons, the new One is expected to come with onscreen buttons, which is a new trend among high end smartphones. Also, Blinkfeed will be now a swipe away as swiping to the left will bring up the feed, as a part of the home screen instead of replacing it like earlier versions.

Many new additions are expected in software, especially to take advantage of the dual lens on the back. Although there’s little information about it for now, it is said that two cameras allow users to add more effects to the image captured.

The new HTC One will be unveiled on March 25th at the company’s press event happening in London and New York simultaneously.
