New ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Trailer Shows More Footage For Iron Man

As we previously reported, it is totally friendship over between Captain America and Iron Man. The latest Captain America: Civil War international movie trailer only reinforces this, depicting the inevitable showdown between the two Avengers.

While the recently released international trailer doesn’t have much new footage to begin with, it does focus more on the political side, showing more on the politics and disagreements between Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Secretary Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).

Additionally, the new trailer also gives viewers a few more seconds of footage showing Iron Man — played by Robert Downey Jr. — who will be leading the opposition against Steve and his old friend Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) in Captain America: Civil War.

Steve and Bucky, finally reunited after having been separated for several years, team up to fight against a larger political attempt to register and legislate superhuman activity. However, their intentions are not fully welcomed, clashing with Iron Man, among others.

Just like the previous trailer, the new international one ends with a showdown between Captain America and Iron Man, with the Cap confronting his teammate whilst defending Bucky, saying, “Sorry, Tony. You know I wouldn’t do this if I had any other choice. But he’s my friend.”

You already know what’s coming next: “So was I,” replies Tony.

The film kicks off “where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity,” according to Marvel’s synopsis of the upcoming movie. Captain America: Civil War is set to hit U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.
