Meek Mill Flames Wale Over Drake Feud

Following his ongoing feud with Drake, rapper Meek Mill makes more enemies, this time out of his labelmate, fellow rapper Wale.

Back in July, Meek claimed Drake — who was previously linked to Meek’s current girlfriend, Nicki Minaj —  was incapable of writing his own lines, sharing how Drake did not write his verses on Meek’s track, R.I.C.O. from his Dreams Worth More Than Money album, which Drake guests on.

After Meek made jabs at Drake on how he allegedly didn’t write his own raps, Wale — who has his own history with Meek — gave his two cents on the argument during his recent visit to Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. Wale shared how he was surprised at Meek for starting up some beef with Drake.

“I can’t tiptoe around this one,” said Wale. “Somebody probably be off the drink right now. It’s not a good look. It’s not a good thing you’re doing.”

He agreed with the public consensus that it wasn’t the best move on Meek’s part. “I talk a lot to dudes at Dreamchasers, everybody cool and whatever, but when he did that I was like, alright, somebody off the drink. A little testosterone on tour. You know, you’re wit’ your girl. I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s not the right decision.”

“I honestly think he brought a pencil to a gun fight,” he added. “He ain’t even bring a knife—a pencil. A piece of paper. He tried to paper cut him to death. You can’t compete with somebody that got them type of relationships.”

In retaliation, Meek took to Instagram, telling Wale to “go jump off a roof” and even implying that Wale had been kicked out of Maybach Music Group (MMG), their record label.

Wale then responded on Twitter, sarcastically riding on Meek’s rant and brushing the comments off.

Back in 2014, Meek questioned Wale’s loyalty to MMG on Twitter. Rick Ross, head honcho at MMG, dismissed the beef as a misunderstanding.

Things seem to go beyond a misunderstanding this time around, though.
