LG G Pro 2 coming to Asian markets soon

LG’s G Pro 2 flagship device was showcased at Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona last month, but the company did not reveal vital information such as pricing or availability. After several weeks without any information, LG has finally announced the sale of the device in the Asia region.

In the next few days, the device would be releasing in Asian countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippine, Vietnam and Indonesia. LG G Pro 2 comes with plenty of features to keep the user interested like a large Full HD display, thin bezels, advanced camera technology and new UI tweaks.

“With its 5.9-inch Full HD IPS display, versatile camera functions and user-oriented UX features, we expect the LG G Pro 2 to make a strong impression with Asian customers.”,  said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Asian consumers have been the biggest fans of smartphones with displays over five inches and we wanted to make sure that the G Pro 2 exceeded their high expectations.””

The most notable UI feature is the new Knock Code technology. This feature allows the user to power on and off the device with just a simple gesture, which can be a pattern too. It can range from a two simple knocks to over 8 knocks, taking the total possible combinations up to 80,000. Also, this feature is exclusive to the LG’s top end devices, so those who are interested in this feature will definitely buy one for themselves.

However, Knock Code isn’t the only thing that’s impressive about the phone. G Pro 2 comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU clocked at 2.2Ghz, 5.9 inch Full HD 1080p display with slim bezels, 3GB RAM and 16GB/ 32GB internal memory. The camera is pretty impressive too, with a 13MP sensor with OIS+, 120FPS HD Video Recording, Slo-Mo recording with adjustable playback, 4K Ultra HD recording etc. So, G Pro 2’s camera should take crisp and clear pictures comparable to traditional point and shoot cameras.

LG has also made sure that the device lasts for at least a day even with the large 5.9 inch 1080p screen, thanks to the 3,200 mAh battery on the back. Further, LTE, WiFi, 1W Hi-Fi sound all makes it one of the best devices in the market, especially for those who are looking for something large.

Unfortunately, LG is yet to disclose details like pricing or its availability in US and European markets.
