Leaked HTC One M8 Prime to rival Galaxy Note 4

Leaked HTC One M8 Prime to rival Galaxy Note 4HTC One M8 is currently available for purchase all around the world, but looks like the company won’t be stopping at M8 this year. According to new rumors, HTC is planning to launch a brand new device called as HTC One M8 Prime which will be faster as well as better than the existing One M8.

While earlier rumors hinted at the possibility of a prime smartphone from HTC, this is the first time such solid information about the device has been leaked. The leakster reveals some impressive specifications and if these turn out to be true, then prime will give some tough competition to existing as well as upcoming smartphones from rival manufacturers.

HTCSoku confirms that the HTC One M8 Prime is under development and even states that the device would hit the markets by September this year. This means that the smartphone will arrive around the same time as Samsung reveals its Galaxy Note 4. Even Apple is expected to show off its iPhone 6 around that time, so getting things right with this smartphone is a must for HTC.

As mentioned above, the specifications as given by HTCSoku shows that the handset will be one of the best smartphones in the market. HTC One M8 Prime is rumored to come with a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, so it would feature an impressive resolution of 2,560 x 1,440.

Inside, there would be a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 quad core processor along with 3GB RAM. The smartphone will retain the design element of HTC One M8, which is actually a good thing, so one can expect the same aluminum finish and front facing speakers as found in the existing flagship.

HTC will upgrade the 4 ultra-pixel camera found on the One M8 with a 5 ultra-pixel one, and the second camera (also called as depth camera) will be of 18MP. So, the camera experience would be much better and refined than the original One M8. This would also help the device compete with smartphones that are expected to feature better cameras like the upcoming LG G3. It would most likely run on the latest version of Android i.e. Android Kitkat 4.4.2 or 4.4.3.

Along with this device, HTC is planning to launch a mini version of HTC One M8 this summer around June. So, HTC fans will have a number of devices to choose from, by the end of this year.
