Kristin Cavallari’s Brother Dead: Suffered From Paranoia And Thought CIA Was Chasing Him

After being missing for weeks since Novermber 27, Kristin Cavallari’s older brother, Michael Cavallari, 30, was found dead three miles from his wrecked car in Utah last week. While details around his death remain unknown, investigators suspect that he crashed into a large rock and eventually succumbed to the cold weather while searching for help.

Cavallari’s tracks in the Green River area of Utah showed him wandering about, which reinforced investigators’ speculations. Furthermore, it has been speculated that Cavallari could have fallen asleep at the wheel, hit his head during the accident, and became disoriented.

Sources close to Cavallari claim they had feared for his mental health for a long time. “There was some sort of paranoia,” revealed his friend, Patrick Kuehn, to People. “I’m guessing form what happened, he thought someone was chasing him.”

Family members state Cavallari struggled with alcoholism, and even though he appeared to be regaining control over his addiction, he still had ongoing legal troubles to deal with. “It’s unclear what his state of mind was during this time, and that has them puzzled,” said a family source of the Cavallaris. “He had his ups and downs, but was turning his life around.”

When Cavallari set off on the fatal drive, he had just posted bail after being arrested in Orange County on November 23 for violating his parole from a 2014 DUI case. One friend believes he was headed to Chicago to be with his mom and sister, saying, “He was probably sick of getting arrested and thought, ‘I gotta get out of here.’”

Acquaintances of Cavallari’s from the University of Colorado recall noticing signs of his paranoia back in college. “He was against Obama and thought that everything was corrupt and owned by the Rothschild and Rockefellers,” recalled one friend.

Another acquaintance shared Cavallari’s delusion is “not so unbelievable if you have people with cameras taking pictures of your sister at all times, probably being on your property growing up,” citing reports that Cavallari, at one point, believed he was under CIA surveillance.

Furthermore, some believe growing up in Kristin’s shadow had negative effects on his psyche, despite others remembering Cavallari as always being proud of his famous sister. “I think I’d go crazy too if my sister was a celebrity getting validation in the world for everything she does,” said the college acquaintance.
