ISIS Latest News: Hilary Clinton Reveals Plan To Crush ISIS – Full Details Here!

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made further elaborations on her plan to defeat terrorist group ISIS, speaking at the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. “We are in it for the long haul and we will stand taller and stronger than they could possibly imagine,” she said of the Islamic State.

Following terrorist attacks in Paris that claimed the lives of 130 people, as well as a mass shooting that killed 14 earlier this month in California, national security has become the top issue in the 2016 presidential election. Clinton addressed this issue, warning that Islamophobia is not only offensive but also harmful to American national security.

Clinton also acknowledged that Americans have a right to be fearful — especially now — whilst she indirectly slammed Republican candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio for spiking citizens’ fears, as well as Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslim immigration.

“Shallow slogans don’t add up to a strategy,” she commented. “Promising to carpet bomb until the desert glows doesn’t make you sound strong — it makes you sound like you’re in over your head. Bluster and bigotry are not credentials for becoming commander-in-chief.”

A critical part of what Clinton dubbed a “360-degree strategy” to keep America safe is the effort to stop potential jihadists from acquiring training overseas. She noted the U.S. must target the “network of enablers” that help finance ISIS, in addition to fighting the organization online to cutoff recruitment.

Furthermore, Clinton called for stricter visa screenings for applicants who had been in ISIS-controlled areas in the last five years. She also highlighted the importance of working closely with Muslim-American communities, and speaking in Minnesota was only fitting, considering the state’s law enforcement has become a successful model for combating homegrown radicalization.

“We must all stand up against offensive, inflammatory, hateful, anti-Muslim rhetoric,” declared Clinton. “These Americans might be our first, last, and best defense against homegrown radicalization and terrorism.”

The former secretary of state received her biggest applause when she brought up the issue of gun control, saying, “Terrorists use guns to kill Americans. I think we should make it harder for them to do that. The phrase ‘active shooter’ should not be the one we have to teach our children. It defies common sense that Republicans in Congress refuse to make it harder for potential terrorists to buy guns.”
