Is Pakistan going to fight terrorism? This seems like progressive news indeed. Reportedly, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif hinted his army for a war against Jaish-e-Mohammed and other terrorist groups. Is there a new twist awaiting the India vs. Pakistan war?
Reportedly, Sharif and his officials confronted the national army. This secret meeting took place on Tuesday. The government gave a clear message to the army that the military-led intelligence agencies will not interfere if law enforcement acts against banned militant groups.
The meeting also suggested fresh attempts to conclude the Pathankot investigation. It has given orders to restart the stalled Mumbai attacks-related trials in a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court. These extraordinary developments might give a new face to the India vs. Pakistan war.
In a contradictory reaction, Sharif denounced India’s bold move to kill terrorists. India executed surgical strikes in Bhimber, Hotspring, Kel and Lipa sectors that killed 38 terrorists and 2 Pakistani soldiers. He condemned India’s attack by calling it an unprovoked and naked action.
On the other hand, India’s army spokesperson Asim Bajwa said that there is a lot of hypocrisy on Pakistan’s side. “There is hypocrisy that is visible on one side: They keep on saying publicly that the nation needs to be free of terrorism,” he said.
Bajwa added, “We are at a very critical stage of fighting against terror and eliminating terrorism from our soil forever, but they are escalating on the eastern border.”

Sri Lanka Supports India
Sri Lanka is reportedly on India’s side in its fight against terrorism. During his recent trip in India, Sri Lanka Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe spoke about the spread of cross-border terrorism in the nation. Furthermore, he confirmed to Narendra Modi that they have to fight this menace together.
On the other hand, China is in full support of Pakistan. Like Sri Lanka, China too has pledged to resolve India vs Pakistan disputes.
