Hollywood Actor Slams Charlie Sheen: ‘He Deserves His HIV!’ – Find Out Who The Actor Is!

Less than a month after Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen publicly disclosed he is HIV positive, Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds has now sparked fury amongst the public for his harsh comments towards Sheen, claiming he “deserves” to have HIV because he “misbehaved very badly.”

The 79-year-old star of Smokey and the Bandit was recording an interview on ITV’s Loose Women to promote his new autobiography, But Enough About Me, when he made the comment. Host Ruth Langsford asked Reynolds, whose own career was almost derailed due to false rumors of HIV in the 80s — something he later on said left him ‘crushed’, if he felt sorry for Sheen.

Instead of showing sympathy, Reynolds answered, “For Charlie, no, he deserves it. He misbehaved badly. Very badly.” His response left audience members shocked and horrified. Following the apparent distress from the audience, Reynolds quickly added, “But you know when you’re that age, it’s tough. All those things are coming at you and it’s difficult.”

Reynolds then went on discuss the backlash Sheen received in the press, seemingly supportive of the criticisms against the former Spin City actor, saying, “He’s handled it badly I think. His father is a very, very decent man and a dear friend of mine. I feel bad for him, but Charlie, I don’t feel bad for him. He’s getting what he deserves. If you’re going to misbehave like that, they’re going to get you.”

After the recording, one audience member told The Sun, “Reynolds’ comments were ridiculously vile, no one could believe it. Ruth asked him about Charlie Sheen’s recent HIV revelation, as Burt was rumored to have it in the past, and Reynolds replied that he ‘deserves it.’ The audience were shocked — as were Ruth and Coleen [Nolan] — and there was an extremely awkward silence.”

“Of course, HIV is something that no one deserves,” continued the audience member. “The insensitivity of the man was unbelievable, and several people in the audience were sure his remarks would be edited out.”

Was Burt Reynolds out of line, or did Charlie Sheen truly have it coming?
