Gwen Stefani Finally Says “I Love You!” To Blake During Interview

During an interview before Monday’s live show of The Voice, Gwen Stefani finally said those three little words that the whole world has been waiting for, well, kind of.

In an interview with Adam Levine, the duo were asked what qualities they were thankful for in each of their fellow coaches. Adam started out by poking fun at Stefani’s boyfriend, Blake Shelton, by saying, “F**k Blake. I’ve known Blake for too long. Blake’s just my buddy. I’m just kidding. I love you, Blake! Kinda. Ish.”

To which Stefani suddenly chimed in saying, “I love you too, Blake. Ish.”

The statement had obviously caught Levine off-guard as the Maroon 5 lead singer struggled to recompose his thoughts. “You screwed yourself on that one!” he teased Stefani. “I protect you and you do something like that?!”

Stefani is seen laughing off the moment, and then asks Levine, “Do you think that was dumb?” The interview goes on with the two talking about how tight-knit the group was, with both judges singing nothing but praises for their The Voice colleagues.

At the recently concluded 2015 American Music Awards, Stefani belted out a tearjerking performance of her latest hit, “Used To Love You” which is reportedly about the demise of her marriage with Gavin Rossdale. The song comes off of Stefani’s much-awaited upcoming album, which is a follow-up to her last album, The Sweet Escape, which was released in 2006.

According to reports, Stefani’s performance was so beautiful that no other than Miranda Lambert had nothing but praises for the No Doubt lead singer. Miranda Lambert was reportedly touched by the lyrics, as the song talks about falling out of love with someone – a situation all too familiar to Miranda, especially with Stefani dating the latter’s ex-husband.

Nevertheless, Miranda has remained a class act and reportedly shared that she thought that Stefani’s performance was excellent. Here’s to hoping that the two ladies can one day overcome their current situation and perhaps perform a duet in the future.
