Pixar’s underwater animation Finding Dory is making a splash with a new trailer that was just released! The story starts six months after the first movie, Finding Nemo, ends. Ellen Degeneres will once again reprise the voice of Dory. She first shared the trailer on her talk show’s video page last Tuesday.

In the trailer for Finding Dory, the always forgetful Dory was seen sleep-dreaming, waking up Nemo and Marlin with her talking. When she wakes up, she thinks she remembers something – but can’t remember what it is. “That’s not possible, is it?” she asked.

This sets her off on a mission to find her family and learn more about her mysterious past. Along the way, she will come across a snub-beluga whale and his whale shark friend in a rehabilitation center at marine life facility.

Finding Dory will be helmed by Andrew Stanton, the director of Finding Nemo. The new movie will also feature the voice of Kaitlin Olson, who stars in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as Destiny, the sweet whale shark. Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton will play the voice of Dory’s parents.

Ed O’ Neill of Modern Family fame will play the voice of the cranky octopus Hank, and his Modern Family costar, Ty Burrell, will be the voice of Bailey, the beluga whale. Idris Elba and Dominic West of the series The Wire will also lend their voices as underwater creatures in the movie.

Asked how he felt about the first time he saw Finding Nemo, Ty Burrell said, “I’m a huge fan. It’s hard to find the balance of the very sweet, very funny and great adventure in a story.”

Burrell went on to share details about the character he will voice, saying “My character isn’t great at its own capability, and Destiny has trouble swimming straight.”

Burrell and Olson used to work together ten years ago, albeit short-lived, so the chemistry between them is evident. Be sure to catch them, along with all the other lovable characters, when Finding Dory makes a huge splash in the theaters June 17, 2016!
