Paul Walker, star of the Fast and Furious movie franchise, passed away in a tragic car accident that killed both him and Walker’s friend, Roger Rodas, who was driving the vehicle. Today marks exactly 2 years since his death, and Paul Walker’s now Fast and Furious 8 costars are taking this day to pay tribute to their friend.

Vin Diesel, who starred in the Fast and Furious series alongside Paul Walker, was very close to his costar. More than just good friends, Diesel considered Walker his brother and even named his daughter Pauline, who was born this year, after Paul Walker.

Diesel shared that it was Walker who told him to be there when his child was born to cut the umbilical cord himself, saying “as I’m cutting the umbilical cord, I’m thinking to myself it’s all because Paul Walker told me to go into the delivery room. So once it came time to sign the name, I started writing “Paul” and then just added I-N-E.”

Even two years after the death of his best friend, Vin Diesel still is clearly affected by his death, and he paid tribute to Paul Walker on his death anniversary today. On his official Facebook page, Diesel posted, “No matter where you are in this universe… You will always be, my brother.”

Vin Diesel also shared a memory he had with Paul Walker on his Instagram account, posting a photo of the two of them that was captioned “Brotherhood has no limits.”

Although Vin Diesel may have been the most affected by Walker’s death out of the Fast and Furious cast, the other stars of the series certainly miss Paul Walker as well and have also expressed their feelings on Walker’s death anniversary.

Tyrese Gibson, who worked alongside both Diesel and Walker in the Fast and Furious franchise, paid his own tribute on Instagram. Sharing a photo of the two together, he expressed how hard Paul Walker’s death was, and still is, for him, even after 2 years.

Meanwhile, Paul Walker’s father, is still trying to find justice for his son’s death. He has just filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, as it was one of their vehicles that was being driven at the time of the accident that left Walker and his friend dead. In the lawsuit, Walker’s father claims that the Porsche Carrera GT that was being driven lacked essential safety features that might have saved Paul’s life.

Paul Walker’s father alleges in the lawsuit that the Porsche car lacked proper stability control, and also that it should have had reinforced doors and a breakaway fuel line that could have prevented the car from catching on fire.

Walker’s daughter, Meadow, has filed a similar lawsuit herself against Porsche. Porsche continues to deny having any responsibility for the accident, saying that the accident was a result of reckless driving and excessive speed and that no added safety features would have been able to prevent the deaths.
