Ellen DeGeneres: I Don’t Want To Be In Taylor’s Dumb Squad!

Did Ellen DeGeneres just diss Taylor Swift and her squad? Calm down, it’s not what you think. The award-winning talk show host and comedian recently announced that since she wasn’t part of Taylor Swift’s squad, she’d introduce the world to her own.

According to DeGeneres, her squad (which she defines as a “posse” full of white people) is “squadier” than Taylor’s squad. And has “been around since the ’80s, earlier than 1989.” The members of Ellen’s squad are a hodge podge of ’80s and ’90s icons such as Full House’s DJ, Stephanie and Kimmy, comedian Carrot Top, and “Tina Turner.”

Ellen also introduced the members of popular ’90s pop rock band Huey Lewis and the News and Bob Harper of The Biggest Loser. But as if the comedian’s squad wasn’t big enough, she brought out Ted Lange who played the bartender, Isaac Washington, on the popular ’70s TV series, The Love Boat.

Obviously, a squad is not a squad if it doesn’t have a choreographer, which is why Ellen also brought out Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter. And in replace of Taylor Swift’s Lena Dunham who “is always naked,” Ellen brought out “Alf.”

Last but not the least, Ellen wrapped up her squad’s roll call with a member who had apparently left Tay’s squad to join Ellen’s, Selena Gomez. “Good luck shaking this off, Taylor!,” says Ellen before she and her squady squad break out into a dance number.

During her interview with Selena, Ellen then asked the young star and Taylor’s best friend, why she wasn’t part of the popular squad. “I think you are! I would assume.

You’ve got the sparkles down in your little costumes like Taylor,” Selena replies jokingly. She goes on to say that it would help if Ellen were good at baking and enjoyed drinking wine and talking about boys.
