DataGravity Named to Inaugural CRN Big Data 100

DataGravity, an early-stage company with a mission to turn data into information, announced it has been named to UBM Tech Channel’s CRN 2013 Big Data 100 list. The inaugural list recognizes innovative technology vendors that offer products and services to help businesses manage “Big Data” – the rapidly increasing volume, speed and variety of information being generated today. The list covers three categories: business analytics, data management, infrastructure and services. Vendors on this list are industry stalwarts leveraging their products and services to meet the Big Data challenge, as well as a wave of startups developing a new generation of products to help businesses address their Big Data needs.

The ability to gain timely insights and intelligence from structured and unstructured big data is the new industry challenge, especially within small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). DataGravity is developing products that will remove the need for complex software packages and help IT managers of SMBs extract value and tangible information for their organizations. The company is in stealth mode and will continue to hire data scientists, data visualization specialists and product development engineers, while working with customers for trials and developing its channel strategy.

“The 2013 Big Data 100 list recognizes vendors that have shown a dedication to the innovation and advancement of today’s Big Data services, and have evolved to meet the needs of today’s business leaders,” said Kelley Damore, senior vice president and editorial director, CRN. “Companies need technologies that not only help them process and manage all that data, but also offer market insights. The Big Data 100 vendors set themselves apart with the cutting edge products and services that provide significant growth opportunities for solution providers to build their business and effectively compete in today’s information economy.”

Selected by CRN’s editorial staff, the 2013 Big Data 100 list is featured in the April issue of CRN Magazine and will be featured online at

“Being recognized as an innovative vendor in the field is encouraging to our team as we work to deliver an unmatched data intelligence and storage solution for the IT industry,” said John Joseph, president and co-founder of DataGravity. “We are dedicated to launching a new industry standard for channel partners and end users alike – a unique way of extracting information from data so companies can access information like never before.”
