Chris Brown has been denied an entry visa to Australia and New Zealand, and as a result, the singer has been forced to cancel his One Hell Of A Nite tours for both countries. The reason for Chris Brown’s visas denial is due to his domestic violence convictions against his former girlfriend, Rihanna.

Peter Dutton, Australia’s minister for immigration, confirmed that Chris Brown was given a Notice Of Intention To Consider Refusal back in September, which allows for the person who received said notice “28 days to present material as to why they should be given a visa to enter Australia.”

Clearly, Chris Brown was unable to present the material to satisfy the Department Of Immigration And Border Protection, upon whom the final decision rested upon, and he will be skipping Australia and New Zealand in his world tour.

For those in either of the affected countries who had already purchased tickets to see Chris Brown perform, as disappointed as you might be you will at least be relieved to know that the ticket price will be fully refunded to you.

According to Ticketek Australia, who was selling the Chris Brown tickets, those who purchased their tickets with a debit or credit card don’t need to do anything as the refund will automatically be credited to your account. Ticketek’s Facebook notice said, “Tickets purchased by credit or debit card will be refunded in full (including your ticket insurance premium, if relevant) and you do not need to take any action. Please allow up to 10 working days for the refund to appear in your account.”

For those who used cash or EFTPOS, however, to purchase tickets to Chris Brown’s show, you will need to visit one of Ticketek Australia’s Head Office agencies or post your tickets back for a full cheque refund.

If you will be seeking the refund in person, the original purchaser will be required to be present and must present a valid ID. For those who will post their tickets back, Ticketek Australia has requested that you “please include a small note outlining your request.”

Despite the cancellation, Ticketek’s statement says that Chris Brown remains confident that he will return to Australia and New Zealand in the future to complete his tour, expressing “his deepest gratitude to the fans for their support and look[ing] forward to a successful tour in the near future.
