Buyers who want the lowest rate and more flexibility can opt for a 5/1 adjustable rate mortgage, advertised with an interest rate of 3.000% for the first five years with a 2.904% starting APR. The 7/1 ARM is quoted at 3.250% for the first seven years with a 3.059% starting APR.
Refinance Rates at Chase
Refinance rates are moving higher and remain above purchase rates. Homeowners can lock into the standard 30-year fixed refi loan at 4.125% with a 4.198% APR. The more popular 15-year refinance loan is quoted at 3.250% with an APR of 3.413%.
Homeowners can lock into a refi ARM for greater flexibility and a lower payment. The 5/1 adjustable rate refinance is published at 3.000% for the first five years with a 2.924% starting APR. The 7/1 refinance ARM is quoted at 3.375% today for the first seven years with a 3.107% APR to start.
