Season 5 Spoilers and News

According to a new report by Buddy TV, there are going to be a lot of changes in the series – it’s going to be “unlike anything you’ve ever seen before,” reports the publication. Series lead actor Stephen Amell recently engaged fans over social media and offered some tidbits via Facebook live stream.

“If [the premiere] is any indication, Arrow is going to be f**king mean this year,” said Amell. “And that’s really exciting.” He goes on to clarify that the bow and arrow wielding protector of Starling City will be meaner but not necessarily evil. He further teased that in the premiere episode, the actor “has the opportunity for us to have the most vicious, violent one-shot in the history of network television.”

Another change we can expect is a modification in appearance. The suit has already seen some changes from the previous season but there may be more alternations on the way. Amell also hinted that the Arrow costume will be a “slightly modified version.”

Season 5 Cast

With everything that has happened, especially the events that led up to the epic Arrow Season 4 finale, viewers are anxious to know what happens to the cast. Where will we see the team of Oliver (Stephen Amell), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Diggle (David Ramsey), Thea (Willa Holland) and the rest of Star City’s heroes in the upcoming season?

While there has been no confirmation, we do know that there will be a new character. Amell surprised everyone when he announced that Cody Rhodes will be appearing in the show’s fifth season. Rhodes – a professional wrestler – is best known for fighting under the name of Stardust in the WWE.

“Before we get going, we have an announcement,” quoted Comic Book of Amell during a panel that had both Amell and Rhodes, “We have a new guest star on Arrow this year: Mr. Cody Rhodes. I’m so fired up for this guy; he and I haven’t really had much of a chance to talk about it but we’ve been friends for a little over a year now. I know that Cody has really wanted to get into the acting business. He went to LA, he read for a part, and his deal closed yesterday and the dude is going to be on Arrow and I’m so fired up.”

Eager fans will have to wait a few more weeks as Arrow season 5 will drop on October 5 at 8pm on The CW. We’ll have to wait for official announcements regarding the future of the series beyond Arrow Season 5.
