Apple sent out invites for the September 9th event

Apple sent out invites for the September 9th eventAfter tons of rumors and speculations, we finally have a date when the next generation of iPhones could be announced. Apple has started sending out invites for their event to be held on September 9th, where the company will most likely announce the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch iPhone 6 models along with the rumored iWatch.

The invites come with a large render of the white Apple logo on top with the numbers 9.9.2014 written in the middle. And at the bottom, the company has included a line that says, ‘We wish we could say more’.

Clearly this will generate a lot of excitement for the event and if Apple is looking to launch the kind of products that we have seen in leaks and rumors, then September’s event will surely be one of the most important events in the company’s history.

We already know that the company is working on two different version of the iPhone. Both of them are much bigger than previous generations and are expected to come with the new Sapphire glass protection.

Recent reports even claim that Apple will release a new product in the market at the event, probably its first wearable called the iWatch. The company has already started registering the name ‘iWatch’ in a number of countries, but we are not sure whether that would be the final name.

Rumors say that Apple will incorporate a curved glass display with sapphire glass protection on the device. The smartwatch will be fitness and health oriented with more than 10 sensors expected to be built into the device. It’s also said that the watch would come with Apple’s Health Kit framework which is currently available on the iOS 8 version. The framework keeps the user as well as his/ her doctor updated about their health.

The invite says that the event will be held at the Flint Center for Performing Arts at De Anza College in Cupertino. This is the same place where Steve Jobs unveiled the first Mac around 30 years ago. And given the fact that Apple has not used this venue for the past few launches, it could mean that this event will be BIG!

MacRumors report that the company has already built a large structure. However, the place is heavily guarded and the authorities are not giving away any information about the structure.

Given that the past two launches have not been as great as fans expected, Apple could really announce something big this year at the event. So stay tuned to the website in the coming days for more updates on the event.
