AnTuTu benchmark results reveal two different Samsung Galaxy S5 variants

Yesterday, two new images leaked on the internet revealed the AnTuTu benchmark results of the upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone. Both the images are of the upcoming flagship which means that the company may release two different variants of the device on the launch day.

Earlier, rumors indicated that the upcoming flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S5 would come in two slightly different variants just like the iPhone 5S and the 5C. The rumors now seem to be true as these two images reveal the exact same thing. The image reveals the major specs of the smartphone which are in line with what analysts are expecting.

According to the images, the smartphone would come in two variants namely, the SM-G900H and SM-G900R4. The G900R4 variant will be faster and better in specs as compared to the former and beats the recently released Galaxy Note 3 in the benchmark comparison.

Galaxy S5 GM-G900R4 Model:

As mentioned above, this version would be the best S5 variant out there and will feature an Octa-core Samsung Exynos 522 CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz. Further, it would come with ARM Mali-T628 GPU chipset, 3GB RAM, 16GB display, 16MP primary shooter along with a 2.1MP front camera and a HD display. As expected, it would run on the latest Android 4.2.2 KitKat version.

In the Benchmark test, this variant scored 35,445 points which makes it better than the Note 3 and the G900H variant.

Galaxy S5 GM-G900H Model:

This particular variant would be slightly different in terms of screen quality and processor. Surprisingly, this one has a better screen, a QHD one as compared to the HD screen on the former. However, on other areas, this particular model pretty much scores below the Quad-core one or at least equals it.

The GM-G900H model would come with a quad core Snapdragon 800 chipset with each core clocked at 2.5 GHz. It would feature Adreno 330 GPU instead of the Mali one and would have 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The camera and the Android version remains the same, i.e. 16MP and 2.1MP shooters which runs on Android 4.2.2 version. At 31,483 in the benchmark results, this version scores below the existing Galaxy Note III and the G900R4 variant.

According to an invite sent earlier, Samsung will unveil Galaxy S5 at the unpacked event in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress show on 24th of February. Stay tuned for more information on one of the most anticipated devices of this year.
