The 30-second advertisement served its purpose. It teased the fans, getting them at the edge of their seats waiting for more to come from the singer.

The ad was stark black with white lyrics “Hello, It’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet. To go over everything. They say that time’s supposed to heal ya but I ain’t done much healing.” The voice that one could tell was very much Adele’s, with the 30-second clip ending in three white ellipses, as if to tease viewers more.

The new song is her very first preview after her sophomore album in 2012, and there have been reports that a new album may be released in November.

It would be remembered that Adele was last heard in 2012, when she sang the theme for the James Bond movie, Skyfall. The song was also entitled Skyfall and earned Grammy nominations.

The long-awaited album is dubbed 25 and is expected to surpass the sales of its predecessor album, 21, which sold 11 million copies worldwide. 25 was slated to be released back in 2014, however it did not push through.

Said album also contains collaborations with The Voice judge Pharell Williams, Max Martin and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder.

Fans and people from the music industry are anticipating the new album’s release, hoping that this is the start of the Adele comeback. Adele’s publicist has declined to make a comment after the release of the 30-second clip during the X-Factor break.
