Walmart Announces ‘Cyber Monday’ Deals for Online Customers

Walmart Announces Cyber Monday DealsWalmart has unveiled its promotions and enticing deals for customers especially those who plan to shop through its online site Walmart.com on Cyber Monday. The major retailer seems to be enticing consumers to shop online from their homes instead of shopping at traditional retail locations beginning Black Friday, which is anticipated to be another busy day for shoppers across the US.

Monday following Thanksgiving Day is usually designated as Cyber Monday, which is when most retailers rollout numerous attractive deals on technology devices and products. Walmart has decided to bring Cyber Monday deals earlier to online shoppers on the weekend before it, from Saturday (November 30).

The company intends to keep most of the offers active to practical Internet shoppers until December 6. To entice actual shoppers, Walmart has announced over 200 online deals to be launched each day. Those offers include the 60% price markdown on many popular items.

Attractive offers and schemes

Another intended come-on for Walmart could be the lower free shipping minimum across its online Website. The retailer has slashed that amount to $35 from $50. Thus, Walmart.com is now at par with offers from rival Amazon.com, which for its part increased its free shipping threshold to $35 from $25.

As expected, Walmart.com is providing hefty savings to those who would purchase items within the ‘three T’s’ category (toys, TV sets, and tablets) on Cyber Monday. Among the best deals it offers are items from popular brands like Samsung, LG, HP, Sony, and Microsoft.

Most of its Black Friday deals that are intended for its brick-and-mortar stores would also be offered online but only in limited quantities on Thanksgiving morning. Walmart would also extend invitations to its most devoted customers to another shopping event on Sunday, December 1. On that day, the retailer would offer about 20 of its best Cyber Monday deals.

Cyber Monday at Walmart

Cyber Monday is an important date for Walmart. That is because it was on Cyber Monday last year when Walmart.com generated its biggest sales figure in its history. The company revealed that it has already observed a significant increase on its Website’s traffic as many online visitors start to find good deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Walmart disclosed that its Website started generating higher traffic on November 1, when it started to give hints on its Black Friday deals. From last week to this week, the company also noted that Walmart.com has been gaining more unique visitors each day as the countdown begins to the anticipated shopping events.
